About the Role:

Llanyrafon Primary School, part of Torfaen County Borough Council, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the school's building is maintained in a safe and good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the school's facilities, including grounds and buildings.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site security protocols.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and external agencies to ensure a smooth and efficient school operation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures, site security protocols, and building maintenance practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and carrying equipment.

Desirable Qualifications:

Qualified tradesman skills in one or more disciplines.Experience in leading and managing teams towards common goals.Full working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
