About the Role:
Llanyrafon Primary School, part of Torfaen County Borough Council, is seeking a skilled Site Manager to ensure the school's facilities are well-maintained and safe for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site operations, including maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site security protocols
- Collaborate with school staff to identify and address facility needs
- Manage and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures
Requirements:
- Experience in the building trades or associated industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical fitness to perform duties
Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualified tradesman skills in one or more disciplines
- Leadership and management experience
- Knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation
