Security Officer

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at OCS UK & Ireland. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing gatehouse cover, receiving visitors, staff, and the public, and handling customer enquiries made both over the telephone and in person.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide gatehouse cover in accordance with the contract, receiving visitors, staff, and the public.
* Handle customer enquiries made both over the telephone and in person, and route them accordingly.
* Present a professional and polite image to all customers, both staff and visitors.
* Prepare and issue visitor passes and maintain records in accordance with company procedures.
* Adhere to all security guidelines for the permission for access to site.
* Promote and uphold the principles of security in accordance with the policies and directive.
* Adhere to the company's dress code and wear correct uniform.
* Fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company's health and safety policy and health and safety management plans.
* Comply with the company's policies, management plans and procedures.
* Report, and record observations, undertake regular patrols and be a point of escalation to assist with any incidents.
* Complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

**Requirements:**

* Previous experience in a security role.
* Ability to work by yourself and complete necessary paperwork.
* Excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
* Good level of computer literacy.
* Well presented, punctual and focused on attention to detail.
* A Criminal Record Check, employment history and Counter Terrorism Check.
* SIA Licence.
