Academic and Welfare Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Student Welfare Advisor to join our team at QA Limited. As a key member of our operational services, you will provide expert guidance and support to our higher education students, ensuring they receive the best possible experience.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver student welfare services, including one-to-one appointments, workshops, and events, to provide advice and guidance on personal, predominantly welfare and disability-related issues.
- Assist the safeguarding team by completing risk assessments and delivering training to staff, ensuring the provision of professional services to students in need.
- Assess and make safeguarding referrals, providing appropriate support for students in immediate distress.
- Develop and implement inclusive policies and practices, working closely with our partner universities to ensure students have access to the support they need.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing inclusive policies and practices in an organisational context.
- Experience in working in higher education, with a strong understanding of inclusion, disability, and diversity legislation and frameworks.
- Ability to be a credible source of guidance and support to academic and professional services colleagues.
- Up-to-date knowledge of student welfare and support services, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
