Welfare Advisor to Higher Education Students

Job Overview

QA Limited is seeking a dedicated Welfare Advisor to provide guidance and support to our Higher Education students. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver student welfare services, including one-to-one appointments, workshops, and events, to provide advice and guidance on personal, predominantly welfare and disability-related issues.
  2. Assist the safeguarding team by completing risk assessments and delivering training to staff to ensure the provision of professional services to students.
  3. Ensure the provision of professional services to students, including accommodation advice, funding/financial advice, and student health advice.
  4. Assess and make safeguarding referrals and provide appropriate support for students in immediate distress.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to be a credible source of guidance and support to academic and professional services colleagues on student issues that may evoke concern and risk.
  2. Proven track record of developing and/or implementing inclusive policy and practice in an organisational context.
  3. Experience in working in Higher Education is desirable.
  4. Developing and embedding good practice into service delivery is essential.
  5. Up-to-date knowledge and experience of inclusion, disability, and diversity legislation and frameworks is desirable.
