Job OverviewQA Limited is seeking a dedicated Welfare Advisor to provide guidance and support to our Higher Education students. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and success of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver student welfare services, including one-to-one appointments, workshops, and events, to provide advice and guidance on personal, predominantly welfare and disability-related issues.
- Assist the safeguarding team by completing risk assessments and delivering training to staff to ensure the provision of professional services to students.
- Ensure the provision of professional services to students, including accommodation advice, funding/financial advice, and student health advice.
- Assess and make safeguarding referrals and provide appropriate support for students in immediate distress.
Requirements:
- Ability to be a credible source of guidance and support to academic and professional services colleagues on student issues that may evoke concern and risk.
- Proven track record of developing and/or implementing inclusive policy and practice in an organisational context.
- Experience in working in Higher Education is desirable.
- Developing and embedding good practice into service delivery is essential.
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience of inclusion, disability, and diversity legislation and frameworks is desirable.
