Job Title: Autism Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Specialist School in York. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping our students with Multiple Learning Difficulty and Autism to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

  • Support students in class and during breaks/lunchtime, providing individualized attention and care as needed.
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, ensuring the well-being and dignity of our students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.

About the School:

Our Specialist School in York provides a safe, happy, and healthy learning environment for students aged 11-18 with special educational needs, including Moderate, Severe, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
