Job Title: Autism Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Specialist School in York. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping our students with Multiple Learning Difficulty and Autism to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

  • Provide general support to students in class and during breaks/lunch time
  • Assist with personal care for students as needed
  • Support students with their educational and personal needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment

Our school caters for students aged 11-18 with a range of special educational needs, including Moderate, Severe, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
