- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educators, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring that the needs of each child or young person are met.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as child development, behavior management, and therapeutic interventions.
- Engage in regular supervision and reflection to ensure high-quality practice and continuous improvement.
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, including those with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Level 6 qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent experience and training.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent, with a commitment to completing any necessary training within 2 years of starting the role.
