About the Role

We are seeking experienced and skilled practitioners to join our residential team, working with children and young people with complex needs. As a Residential Childcare Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the welfare and well-being of our looked-after children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Key working with individual children and young people, building effective relationships and providing consistency of support
  • Applying agreed evidence-based therapeutic and behavioral management approaches and practice models
  • Providing opportunities for children and young people to influence the decisions that affect them and the service they receive
  • Working systemically and as part of a team to ensure a joined-up service centered on the child
  • Engaging in the running of the home, including activities, meals, personal care, recording, report writing, and administration of medication in line with the council's policy
  • Undertaking staff training, attending staff meetings, and formal supervision sessions
  • Providing and promoting a safe, stimulating, and nurturing physical environment
  • Holding a full valid UK driving license and ability to transport children and young people to and from school/activities
