Community Outreach Worker for Students

Dunbar Education is a leading recruitment agency specializing in supporting students with SEMH needs. We are excited to offer a Community Outreach Worker position focused on connecting students with local community resources and services.
Job Overview:This role involves building partnerships with local organizations, identifying opportunities for students to engage with their community, and facilitating these connections. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and community members to create a seamless and supportive network for students.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups, identifying opportunities for students to participate.
- Facilitate community engagement activities, promoting social inclusion and life skills development.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate community experiences into lesson plans, enhancing student learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about community engagement opportunities.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Must have access to own car and hold a full driving licence.
The estimated salary for this role is £22,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
