## Job Title: Commissioning Officer - Education Provision

## Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Officer to join our team at Staffordshire County Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring children unable to access a school placement receive education, overseeing the commissioning of alternative provision, and developing this provision.

## Key Responsibilities

* Lead on the commissioning of education to support children and young people who are not in a school placement
* Work with a range of practitioners and stakeholders to secure alternative provision for children not attending school
* Develop the Staffordshire Enhanced District Inclusion Support (SEDIS) Model across the county
* Performance manage providers with a focus on outcomes
* Assist in the monitoring of financial information and resource allocation
* Lead the delivery of agreed aspects of the commissioning cycle

## Requirements

* Demonstrable experience and understanding of commissioning
* Knowledge of procurement and commissioning legislation, policy, and processes
* Experience of contracts and/or performance processes
* Ability to use initiative and work in the children and young people/education sector
