We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Livewell Southwest. As an Early Help Liaison Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing of children and young people in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with schools, families, and other professionals to identify and support children and young people who may be experiencing emerging mental health difficulties.
- Co-ordinate and deliver evidence-based targeted interventions, including group work and one-to-one sessions, to promote resilience and prevent mental health problems.
- Collaborate with other clinicians and agencies to ensure timely assessments and effective interventions for children and young people.
- Develop and deliver training programmes for schools and community services to promote mental health awareness and skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures within the organisation.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care.
- Work effectively with children, young people, and their families to promote person-centred planning and empower them to make informed decisions about their mental health.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working with children and young people in a mental health setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and therapies for mental health difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the service.
