About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Livewell Southwest. As an Early Help Liaison Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing of children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with schools, families, and other professionals to identify and support children and young people who may be experiencing emerging mental health difficulties.
  2. Co-ordinate and deliver evidence-based targeted interventions, including group work and one-to-one sessions, to promote resilience and prevent mental health problems.
  3. Collaborate with other clinicians and agencies to ensure timely assessments and effective interventions for children and young people.
  4. Develop and deliver training programmes for schools and community services to promote mental health awareness and skills.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures within the organisation.
  6. Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care.
  7. Work effectively with children, young people, and their families to promote person-centred planning and empower them to make informed decisions about their mental health.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working with children and young people in a mental health setting.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and therapies for mental health difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the service.
