About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our team at Livewell Southwest CIC. As a key member of our Infant Mental Health pathway, you will work with young children aged 3-7 years and their parents/carers to provide assessment, treatment, and consultation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an autonomous caseload of young children and their families, providing individual and group psychotherapy sessions.
  • Conduct formal assessments of children and their parents/carers to inform care pathways and treatment plans.
  • Provide supervision and consultation to colleagues within the CAMHS team.
  • Participate in regular review and discussion of cases in treatment with other team members.
  • Monitor and evaluate risk to/from children and young people in your caseload.
Requirements
  • Recognised postgraduate level training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
  • Eligibility for full membership of the Association of Child Psychotherapists.
  • Extensive knowledge of child development and relevant theories, practices, and research.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and risk assessment.
