About the Job

This role is for a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to work within our CAMHS Therapies pathway. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychoanalytic therapy services to children and young people, as well as their families and carers.

The post holder will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, providing assessments, interventions, and supervision to other professionals. They will also contribute to the development of local service improvements and participate in regular review and discussion of cases in treatment.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide qualified, high-quality specialist psychoanalytic child psychotherapy services to individuals, carers, families, and groups within and across CAMHS pathways.
• Manage a complex caseload, including assessments, interventions, and discharge of children, young people, and families.
• Provide supervision to child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapists, psychological therapists, trainee psychological therapists, and psychological practitioners as appropriate.
• Contribute to the development of local service improvements and participate in regular review and discussion of cases in treatment.
• Work directly with children and young people, as well as providing training and consultation to parents, carers, and staff in partner agencies.
• Participate in regular review and ongoing discussion of cases in treatment with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and where appropriate, co-ordinate and organise network meetings with professional members of other agencies.
