About the Role

Livewell Southwest CIC is seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our CAMHS Infant Mental Health pathway, you will work with young children aged 3-7 years and their parents/carers to provide assessment, treatment, and consultation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an autonomous caseload of young children and their families, providing individual and group psychotherapy sessions.
  • Conduct formal assessments of children and their parents/carers to inform care pathways and treatment plans.
  • Provide supervision and consultation to Livewell Southwest staff and other professionals as needed.
  • Participate in regular review and discussion of cases in treatment with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Monitor and evaluate risk to/from children and young people in your caseload, ensuring the safety and well-being of all parties involved.
Requirements
  • Recognised postgraduate level training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, conferring eligibility for full membership of the Association of Child Psychotherapists.
  • Extensive knowledge of normal and abnormal child development, as well as relevant theories, practices, and research in the field of child and adolescent development.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and risk assessment procedures.
  • Valid driving licence and ability to travel across Plymouth.
