Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 5/6 Community Rehab Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a community setting, providing assessment and rehabilitation services for individuals with neurological conditions.

About the Position

This position involves working as an autonomous practitioner, taking into consideration all physical, psychological, and cognitive needs of clients. You will be responsible for assessing and treating patients referred to the service, as well as contributing to the development of the service through supervision, training, and appraisal.

Main Responsibilities
  • Completing comprehensive assessments, through interview, observation of functional tasks, and/or use of standardized assessments
  • Liaising with the multidisciplinary team, specialist nursing staff, and external service providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Communicating effectively with patients, carers, and other professionals involved in care provision
  • Presenting a positive image to patients, public, and health and social care providers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration
  • Experience working as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist (minimum 18 months)
  • Previous experience of working in the UK or a similar health economy
Salary and Benefits
