Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Access Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering end-to-end technical solutions within the RAN, including complete Radio Network Design across all technologies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement technical solutions for domains or cross-domain portfolios of work within a specific technology area, considering system impact internally and externally.
  • Provide technical quality assurance over the work of other engineers through matrix team structures.
  • Offer technical expertise to consult on significant components of technical solutions within a specific domain or cross-domain.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance standards of practice within projects, continuously improving ways of working.
  • Deliver resolutions to complex problems that may involve multiple domains or have a significant impact on customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure end-to-end solutions are delivered, maintaining/exceeding RAN design and customer experience KPI targets.
  • Support field trials of new products, software releases, and features prior to wider deployments.
  • Consult with teams to develop design scopes and requirements.
  • Analyze and inform technical projects, ensuring planned deliveries are achievable, selecting the most appropriate technical options available and effectively managing risks and issues.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Mobile Radio Access Network Design, planning, or delivery, and familiarity with Ericsson and Nokia RAN products and features. They will also have the ability to analyze drive test logs, Wireshark traces, and protocol analyzer traces for 2G, 4G, and 5G networks, as well as able to analyze network data and familiar with test software and devices. Evidence of optimizing existing long-standing processes and ways of working is also essential.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, estimated at £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and performance.
