We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Homicide Caseworker to join our team at Victim Support. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to families and individuals affected by murder and manslaughter, working closely with the Major Crime Police Units, Senior Investigators, and Family Liaison Officers.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct needs assessments and coordinate tailored support packages for clients, working with commissioned providers and other stakeholders.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate the Criminal Justice System.
- Travel across the area to meet with clients in their homes or communities, ensuring a high level of service delivery.
- Manage a complex caseload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to deliver high-quality support.
- Proven experience in delivering services to vulnerable individuals, preferably in a statutory or voluntary setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle, with a willingness to travel across the area.
