About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our National Homicide Service team, covering Central and East of England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional trauma-informed advocacy and support to service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve key performance indicators and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team.
  • Build and maintain constructive working relationships with stakeholders, including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers.
  • Present the service and work to inform, educate, and encourage notifications and referrals into the service.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team, with a track record of achieving key performance indicators.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable individuals and families, with a strong understanding of the impact of trauma and bereavement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and travel.
  • Valid driving license and access to a car, with the ability to travel across the geographical area.
