Job Description

This role entails providing proactive technical support to our trading floor users, troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of IT issues across hardware, software, and networking. As an IT Support Engineer at Hunter Bond, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing hands-on, first- and second-line technical support, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues efficiently.
  • Using PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, streamline processes, and contribute to system optimization efforts.
  • Managing desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and IT infrastructure hardware setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Supporting our core IT systems, including Active Directory, Windows Server, and Office 365, ensuring reliability and high performance.
  • Collaborating with network and security teams to maintain a secure, stable, and efficient IT environment.
  • Maintaining clear documentation of solutions and processes to improve knowledge transfer and continuity within the team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a high-stakes environment like finance or trading.
  • Solid understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, prior experience in a financial or trading environment would be beneficial. Familiarity with ITIL practices or relevant IT certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MTA) is also desirable.
