Position Overview:

Are you experienced in electrical, avionics, or instrumentation design? Do you have proficiency in using Catia V5 or wiring design software?

Leonardo is seeking multiple Electrical Systems Installation Specialists with varying levels of expertise to join our Helicopter Division.

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team in the UK and have the opportunity to engage with our colleagues in Italy, which may include travel opportunities. You will be involved in design support activities for our aircraft, both domestically and internationally.

At Leonardo Helicopters, we oversee the comprehensive design of air vehicles. As part of our team, you will have the chance to contribute to all stages of the product design lifecycle, from pioneering innovations to supporting existing aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Electrical Systems Installation Team, your primary duties will include:

  • Assisting in the identification and breakdown of electrical installation requirements for avionic, electrical, or mission equipment.
  • Executing design tasks necessary to define and integrate wiring and harness designs, including harness routing, avionic bay designs, instrument panels, and electrical panel installations.
  • Developing installation and harness solutions in compliance with company standards utilizing 3D CATIA and Wiring Design Tools.
  • Designing instrumentation sensing, vibration, and recording systems using 3D CATIA and Wiring Design Tools.
  • Providing support and input to manufacturing and procurement processes.

Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND/BTEC or relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with electrical and avionic system installation and wiring design.
  • Understanding of wiring and harness specifications and design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as CATIA, PLM Systems, Enovia, and Wiring Design tools.
  • Awareness of relevant airworthiness regulations.
