Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Active Vehicle Control (AVC) team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our Principal Engineers and external specialists in the development, analysis, integration, and verification of platform control and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake C&I system design, providing advice and producing evidence in support of legislative, safety, and technical requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external customers as part of a technical team.
- Undertake peer reviews.
- Articulate and present technical arguments, clearly, logically, and simply.
- Coordinate and execute engineering tasks or packages of work, providing guidance and advice in a consistent professional manner.
- Take notice of timescales and quality standards as well as provide leadership where required.
- A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree or equivalent qualification and experience within an engineering background.
- Experience in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system design, verification, test design, or parts specification would be advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle and technical specialities.
- Working towards relevant Professional Registration.
