Job Title: Senior Aerodynamicist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Aerodynamicist to join our team at Visa Cash App RB Formula 1 Team. As a key member of our aerodynamics department, you will be responsible for generating new aerodynamic concepts and designs for our race car, as well as efficient testing and analysis of those concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new aerodynamic concepts and designs for the race car
  • Conduct wind tunnel testing and analyze results to recommend track testing of performant geometries
  • Define and manage effective and efficient wind tunnel tests
  • Collaborate with the team leader and deputy team leader to develop innovative aerodynamic concepts
  • Mentor and advise junior aerodynamicists to improve their skills set
Requirements:
  • At least four years' experience in F1 aerodynamics development
  • Strong, broad understanding of aerodynamics to degree level or above
  • Strong technical understanding of CFD and wind tunnel test techniques
  • Experience of running WT testing programs
  • Good CAD skills
  • Initiative and innovation
  • Team-player attitude and the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
