Senior Aerodynamicist Job Description

Visa Cash App RB Formula 1 Team is a leading organization in the world of Formula 1, and we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Aerodynamicist to join our team. As a Senior Aerodynamicist, you will be responsible for generating new aerodynamic concepts and designs for our race car, as well as conducting efficient testing and analysis of those concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create new geometries using CAD software.
  • Conduct wind tunnel testing, including some shift work.
  • Suggest, investigate, and implement new methods and processes to improve the efficiency of aerodynamic ideas generation, design, testing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.
  • Maintain and develop good relationships with the aero performance group, aerodynamics development group leaders, and senior aero management.
  • Communicate effectively with other groups, such as model design, model shop, aero technology group, CFD methodology group, aero production, and wind tunnel systems group.
Requirements:
  • Experience of running WT testing programs.
  • Good CAD skills.
  • Team-player attitude and the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • The capacity to lead a project, solve complex problems, and achieve performance targets within strict deadlines.
