Job Summary

We're seeking a Chief Financial Transformation Officer to join our Group Finance Support team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll play a critical role in driving financial transformation across the Group over the next 5 years.

About the Role

You'll lead a team of approximately 12 colleagues responsible for financial control and reporting for LBG Commercial Banking division. Your primary objective will be to ensure strong financial control behaviours are modelled and implemented across the team.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you'll influence senior partners, contribute to strategic direction, and provide thought leadership to drive business decisions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading operations, ensuring capacity management, and meeting monthly and quarterly deadlines;
  • Establishing effective relationships with partners in Commercial Banking Finance and Business teams;
  • Developing a robust financial control & risk framework with monthly reporting both internally and externally;
  • Managing issue resolution and facilitating communication;
  • Driving team development and demonstrating continuous learning;
  • Contributing to the GFS extended leadership team by driving activity on one of our people pillars.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you'll need:

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or alternative expertise gained through experience;
  • Excellent communication skills to influence complex issues and build diverse relationships;
  • Passion for financial control and questioning mindset;
  • Experience in leading and developing a team;
  • Strong background in delivery and driving continuous improvement;
  • A problem-solving approach with the ability to challenge and debate key issues.

Estimated Salary: £80,206 - £103,796 per annum
