SEN Teacher Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at Winner Recruitment. In this role, you will work closely with schools in Cheshire to provide independent special educational needs placements.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering inspirational lessons to pre-verbal students, using assessment to promote good pupil progress and emotional development.

You will also provide a stimulating learning environment suitable for pupils with special educational needs and champion the needs of pupils across the wider school.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within SEN support and enjoy working with children to ensure each child can achieve their true potential.

The salary for this role is £32,000+ per year, plus additional benefits.

Responsibilities:

  1. Teach and support pupils with special educational needs
  2. Plan and deliver inspirational lessons to pre-verbal students
  3. Develop a bespoke curriculum, building on students' interests while meeting academic and personal development needs
  4. Provide a stimulating learning environment suitable for pupils with special educational needs
  5. Champion the needs of pupils across the wider school
  6. Build effective relationships with parents and carers
  7. Organise open events to welcome parents and carers into the SEND department
  8. Liaise effectively with other agencies when necessary
