Deputy Head of Year Job Opportunity

Bishop Challoner Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Deputy Head of Year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant and inclusive co-educational academy, supporting the Year Leader in the professional leadership and management of the year team and student cohort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing, leading, and developing systems and procedures to enhance standards of achievement, behaviour, and personal development for all pupils in the year group.
  • Support the Year Leader in monitoring student progress to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement positive strategies to deal with whole classes and groups of pupils.
  • Contribute to a positive and stimulating school environment that values the contribution of all staff.
Requirements:
  • High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour.
  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate pupils.
  • Strong commitment to professional development and career management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
