About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced School Nurse to join our team as a Healthy Child Programme Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality health services to children and young people in our community.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people. As a School Nurse, you will work closely with families, schools, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver complex holistic health needs assessments of children and young people in a wide range of environments and across a broad population spectrum.
  • Inform and implement a plan of care using evidence-based criterion to rationalise professional decisions and actions.
  • Provide skilled, evidence-based nursing care which adheres to agreed policies and procedures.
  • Help others e.g. children, young people, parents and carers to identify their own level of knowledge and skill and offer support, information and advice to enable them to access services and adopt healthy lifestyles.
Requirements:
  • Able to drive and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working with children, young people and families through the delivery of the 5-19 Healthy Child Programme.
