About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Midwife to lead our Bereavement Team in providing exceptional care to women and their families who have experienced perinatal and maternal loss. As a specialist in bereavement care, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to support families, providing emotional and practical support, and working closely with the maternity team to ensure seamless care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Bereavement Team in providing individualized care to women and their families
  • Develop and implement programs to support families, including counseling and support groups
  • Provide emotional and practical support to families, including advocacy and liaison with other healthcare professionals
  • Work closely with the maternity team to ensure seamless care and coordination
  • Conduct audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance bereavement care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures related to bereavement care
Requirements
  • Registered Midwife on the NMC Register with a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Post-registration qualification or evidence of further study to Degree level
  • Evidence of continuing personal and professional development
  • Demonstrates clear insight and awareness of the impact of perinatal and maternal loss on families
