About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Midwife to lead our Bereavement Team in providing exceptional care to women and their families who have experienced perinatal and maternal loss. As a specialist in bereavement care, you will be responsible for delivering individualized support and guidance to families, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and compassion during their most vulnerable moments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Bereavement Team in providing emotional and practical support to families
  • Develop and implement programs of care to meet the unique needs of bereaved families
  • Collaborate with the Maternity Department, Trust Bereavement Team, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Provide training and education to healthcare professionals on bereavement care and support
  • Conduct audits and quality improvement projects to enhance bereavement care services
Requirements
  • Registered Midwife on the NMC Register with a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Post-registration qualification or evidence of further study to Degree level
  • Evidence of continuing personal and professional development
  • Demonstrated expertise in bereavement care and counseling
