About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Youth Development Worker to join our team in West Dunbartonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging street soccer sessions, identifying individual group needs, and tailoring delivery accordingly.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver outreach support through services in the West Dunbartonshire area, adopting a whole family approach.
  2. Offer specialised community initiatives, alternative activities, and remote guidance to aid the community.
  3. Develop training programs to enhance players' skills and physical fitness.
  4. Strategize and plan game strategies and tactics.
  5. Analyse performance and provide feedback and areas for improvement.
  6. Maintain discipline, resolve conflicts, and promote sportsmanship and team spirit.
  7. Scout and recruit new players for the team.
  8. Effectively communicate with players, parents, officials, and other coaches.
  9. Engage children, young people, and their families in suitable interventions, building robust relationships and promoting involvement in imaginative activities.
  10. Gather information to meet local surveillance demands - mapping of the area.
  11. Provide support and delivery across all projects within the organisation.
  12. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver an effective service in line with stakeholder needs, policies & procedures, and budget parameters.
  13. Safeguard the health and welfare of all children, young people, and their families.

  • Experience in youth work, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
