About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Big Yellow Self Storage. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of running the store, including customer service, sales, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all customers
  • Maximise sales opportunities through effective product promotion and sales techniques
  • Support the Store Manager in maintaining high standards of store appearance and cleanliness
  • Contribute to local marketing initiatives and assist with recruitment efforts
  • Perform administrative tasks, including customer contract management and debt collection
  • Take a flexible approach to working, including working alone or as part of a team
  • Support the Store Manager in achieving business targets and growth

Requirements

  • Previous management experience, with a lead-by-example attitude
  • Strong listening skills and a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to problem-solve and build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Excellent prioritisation skills and decision-making abilities
  • Enthusiasm and consistency, with a willingness to learn and improve
