We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Group Manager, Localities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of the healthcare system in Aotearoa, working in partnership with Te Aka Whai Ora and other stakeholders to design and implement community-based systems of care.

About the Role

This role will lead the team responsible for the effective design and implementation of localities, partnering with Integrated Mental Health and Addiction (IMHB) providers, health providers, wider social sector funders and providers, local government, and communities. The successful candidate will have extensive commissioning and community development experience, with a strong track record of system and service design, health service funding and procurement, and place-based planning and collective impact approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes
  • Partner with Te Aka Whai Ora and other stakeholders to shape system-wide public health services across the motu
  • Develop and maintain relationships with IMPBs, health providers, wider social sector funders and providers, local government, and communities
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team, ensuring effective implementation of locality plans
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in system and service design, commissioning and community development, and health service funding and procurement
  • Strong track record of leading teams and developing relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to think conceptually and anticipate the impact of decisions on long-term outcomes
  • Relevant tertiary or professional qualification
