SEN Specialist Opportunity

A mental health-focused school in Reading is seeking a skilled SEN Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with children facing various challenges, including childhood trauma, anxiety, and attachment disorders.

As an SEN Specialist, you will implement a therapeutic approach in the classroom, helping students develop resilience and engage in their education. You will also provide emotional and therapeutic support, guiding them through their school day and ensuring their safety and well-being.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be compassionate, approachable, and passionate about making a positive impact on vulnerable children's lives. A Criminology or Psychology graduate is highly desirable.

Job Description:

  • Implement a therapeutic approach in the classroom
  • Provide emotional and therapeutic support to students
  • Collaborate with Teachers, Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists
  • Help students develop resilience and engage in their education

Salary: £85 per day (based on experience, training, and qualifications)

Contract: Long-term temporary, with potential for permanent

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
