We are seeking an experienced Store Safety and Security Manager to join our team at Sports Direct. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment.

About the Role

As a Store Safety and Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our customers, employees, and assets. You will work closely with the store management team to identify and mitigate potential risks, implement security protocols, and maintain a high level of awareness and vigilance on the shop floor.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and security, setting the tone for the rest of the team.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Security Protocols: Implement and enforce security protocols, including CCTV monitoring, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to colleagues on safety and security procedures.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication channels with store management, colleagues, and external partners to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety and security measures, making recommendations for improvement.

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas simply.

Estimated Salary: £28,256 per annum (based on location and industry standards).
