Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
• Leading shifts and delegating tasks to other support workers
• Managing incidents, safeguarding, and complaints in the absence of the manager
• Ensuring all staff complete relevant health and safety tasks
• Mentoring new support workers through induction and completion of the Care Certificate and medication training
• Working within a One Team Approach to deliver high-quality care
• Providing person-centered support to clients with serious mental illness

You will also be responsible for responding to service phone queries and requests from both internal and external customers in a timely manner, delegating where appropriate to other members of the team. Additionally, you will undertake assessments of referrals and attend regular assessment and risk management training.
