As a Research Inclusion Manager at the University of Southampton, you will play a vital role in championing equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in health and social care research.
Job OverviewThe National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) Co-ordinating Centre is seeking an experienced professional to lead initiatives that ensure research is inclusive and reflective of diverse communities.
With a strong background in EDI and project management, you will deliver on projects that implement the NIHR's Research Inclusion Strategy and contribute to initiatives that promote EDI practices across NETSCC, NIHR, and external organizations.
The salary for this position is approximately £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Leading projects to drive research inclusion aligned with NIHR's strategic objectives and the University of Southampton's EDI policies.
- Developing and implementing systems to monitor and evaluate inclusion efforts using quantitative and qualitative data.
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders to promote inclusion practices.
- Delivering inclusion-focused training, resources, and events to enhance awareness and best practices.
Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and experience with monitoring and evaluation are desirable.
Working ArrangementsOur hybrid working approach allows for flexibility between office and home working. We strive for cohesive teams, expecting around 20% of your time to be spent in the office.
