Job Overview

This permanent, full-time position as an Occupational Therapist is available in our Social Communication Team, which specializes in working with children under 5 years old with complex needs. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing interventions for young autistic children and their families.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with Speech and Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and Neurodevelopmental Paediatricians to deliver individualized support and care to children undergoing neurodevelopmental assessments and post-diagnostic support.
  • You will be responsible for managing an allocated caseload, communicating complex information to carers, families, and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • You will develop and provide training to others on relevant topics related to autism and occupational therapy.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC Registration
  • Experience of working with children with additional needs, including autism
  • Knowledge of a broad range of clinical conditions impacting children, such as Autism, ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy
