Job Title: Construction Cost Manager

About the Role:
Becoming a Construction Cost Manager at Building Careers UK is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in financial management for construction projects. With a focus on delivering high-quality services, our team is looking for a professional who can oversee the financial aspects of mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects. This involves managing costs from pre-construction to completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial management of M&E projects, including cost estimates, budgets, and pricing for works.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, manage tendering and procurement processes, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs and performance, ensuring that projects remain on budget and that variations are properly managed.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess work quality, and address any cost-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and client specifications.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction finance, accounting principles, and cost management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients.
