Join our Manchester Real Estate team as a skilled Cost Manager, working on iconic projects across the Northwest As a Construction Cost Expert, you will assist with feasibility studies, estimating and cost planning, tendering and procuring, dealing with post-contract cost variances, and interfacing with clients and consultants.

Main Responsibilities

  • Feasibility studies: Assist in evaluating project viability, identifying potential risks, and developing optimal solutions
  • Estimating and cost planning: Produce and present detailed cost plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
  • Tendering and procuring: Manage the pre-qualification stage, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth project execution
  • Post-contract cost variances: Effectively manage changes, track costs, and minimize risks
  • Cost checking and valuation: Regularly review project expenses, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and adjust budgets as needed
  • Monthly reports: Present post-contract cost reports to clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations
  • Final accounts: Negotiate and agree settlements with contractors and clients
  • Client interface: Communicate effectively with clients and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
