About the Role

Calderdale Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Mental Health Professional to join our newly-formed AMHP HUB. As an AMHP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families affected by mental health issues.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assessing individuals under the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007) and providing advice to families and professional referrers. You will work autonomously, receiving ongoing support and guidance from colleagues and access to regular supervision and training opportunities.

What We Offer

We offer a structured induction, monthly supervision, access to our AMHP Forum, regional YAMHP, and opportunities to achieve 18 hours of AMHP training a year. You will also have the opportunity to explore further interests or research. Due to the nature of our work, it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a car on a daily basis.
