Lead Maintenance Engineer

Recruit Mint Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the heavy industry sector. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of critical plant and machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize operational uptime.
- Lead a team of maintenance engineers in planning and executing scheduled maintenance activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and maintain up-to-date records for audits and operational transparency.
- Manage external contractors for specialist maintenance or major overhauls, ensuring high safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption to manufacturing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train, mentor, and lead a team of maintenance engineers, fostering a culture of teamwork and technical excellence.
- A recognized engineering qualification (electrical or mechanical) with strong multiskilled knowledge.
- Proven experience in a senior maintenance role, ideally within a heavy industry or similar manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of reactive and planned maintenance practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
