Lead Maintenance Engineer

Recruit Mint Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the heavy industry sector. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of critical plant and machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize operational uptime.
  2. Lead a team of maintenance engineers in planning and executing scheduled maintenance activities.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
  4. Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and maintain up-to-date records for audits and operational transparency.
  5. Manage external contractors for specialist maintenance or major overhauls, ensuring high safety and quality standards.
  6. Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption to manufacturing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Train, mentor, and lead a team of maintenance engineers, fostering a culture of teamwork and technical excellence.
Requirements:
  1. A recognized engineering qualification (electrical or mechanical) with strong multiskilled knowledge.
  2. Proven experience in a senior maintenance role, ideally within a heavy industry or similar manufacturing environment.
  3. Extensive knowledge of reactive and planned maintenance practices.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  5. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
