Job Overview

The Finance Director will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial and IT aspects of the group's operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will collaborate with the executive team and key stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that support our long-term growth and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Planning and Strategy
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's vision.
  • Prepare accurate, insightful, and timely management information and financial reports for management, shareholders, and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
Financial Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate financial controls and risk management procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance cash flow and manage financial risks.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Continue to drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department and across the business.
IT
  • Develop and maintain the procedures so that IT projects are properly scoped, resourced, and implemented.
Relationship Management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the executive team and department heads, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external partners, such as banks, auditors, and tax advisors.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role, with excellent financial planning and analysis skills. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
