Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our client, a well-established forward-thinking Public Sector organisation, on a permanent full-time basis.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial information and analysis to inform decision-making and financial management activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with budget holders and stakeholders within assigned Directorates to provide expert financial advice and guidance on financial matters.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with budget holders, understanding their objectives, and translating them into financial plans and strategies.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement effective financial controls and processes.
- Preparing accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for assigned teams, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Analysing financial data, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights to support decision-making processes.
- Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognised accountancy qualification or part qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
- Proven business partnering skills.
- Previous experience within a commercial or property environment (desirable).
- Previous asset management experience (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
