About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Finance Partner to join our team at Reed in Partnership Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Programme Director and Senior Operations team in achieving business objectives.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide financial representation and support to the Programme Director and Senior Operations team, ensuring that financial performance is aligned with contract plans and targets. You will be responsible for performing contract performance reviews, utilising financial and KPI reports to drive performance and maximise revenue and profit generation.

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed financial and performance models, including monthly, periodic, and long-range forecasting. These models will be used to inform the annual budgeting and strategic review process.

In addition, you will contribute to the provision of accurate, timely, and well-presented financial management information to the Board of Directors and Operations Management.

Key Accountabilities
  • Monitor and query periodic management accounts outputs to drive performance
  • Enhance financial performance information available to Operations
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and management teams
  • Obtain information required to inform a rolling forecast financial model
  • Develop and maintain Excel financial models to support key contracts
  • Perform periodic P&L and contract performance reviews with operational leads
  • Drive financial focus and improved operational efficiency
  • Creation of financial and performance reporting tools for new contract implementation
  • Provide timely financial or forecasting information required externally by customers
  • Regular communication with operational leads to understand forecasting predictions and drive improved operational performance
Other Duties
  • Respond to ad-hoc commercial analysis required by customers and stakeholders
  • Support the Head of Commercial Accounting, Commercial Business Partners, and wider Finance function in embracing emerging technology
  • Ensure the ethos of continuous improvement exists within the Commercial Finance function
