Role Overview

Yodel is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key support to the Head of Operations Finance and Director of Finance, you will partner with senior operational stakeholders to deliver large-scale operating projects and ensure the team achieves business-as-usual operating targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with divisional directors and regional managers to understand their financials and identify opportunities to remove operating costs without compromising service metrics.
  • Support operational finance analysts in creating cost forecasts for service centres, engaging operating teams in the process and ensuring they understand targets.
  • Chair review meetings with operating teams to assess performance against signed-off plans and work closely to remedy problematic cost areas.
  • Maintain tight control of weekly flashed cost performance, ensuring variances to period-end results are kept to a minimum.
  • Ensure adherence to Yodel financial policies and procedures, maintaining robust financial and cash control and governance.
Requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management experience in a similar business-facing finance role.
  • Confidence to support and challenge colleagues as needed.
  • Ambitious and able to communicate to all levels across the business, including the senior leadership team.
  • Ability to interpret finance data for non-finance colleagues.
  • Ideal qualifications include CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
