Job Title: Child Friendly Neighbourhood Manager

At The Springfield Project, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to lead our Child Friendly Neighbourhood programme in Sparkhill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the programme, ensuring targets are met, and delivering high-quality services to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage existing and developing services for children and young people aged 5-19, including holiday playschemes, after-school activities, community events, and youth advisory boards.
  • Provide line management and supervision for staff, as well as oversee contracted partners working with us under service level agreements.
  • Develop new services for children and young people in the local area, ensuring their voices are amplified and their needs are met.
  • Work closely with other departments within The Springfield Project to ensure a joined-up approach to addressing whole family wellbeing and improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Develop and build on strong partnerships with local partner organisations, including schools, health organisations, and community groups.
  • Promote the principles of child-friendly neighbourhoods and showcase our work to stakeholders.
  • Support and prioritise the physical and emotional safety and wellbeing of children at all times.
Requirements:
  • Experience in managing programmes and services for children and young people.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures and policies.
