HGV Technician Job Description

At Rubber Duck Cars, we are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles. We are looking for a technician who is proficient in using hand tools, welding, soldering, and has a strong focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on HGVs to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Fabricate and weld components as needed
  • Assemble and disassemble parts with precision
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
  • Operate power tools and forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, welding, soldering, and power tools
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations
  • Ability to assemble, maintain, and repair HGVs effectively
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles is advantageous
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus
