HGV Technician Role Overview

At Rubber Duck Cars, we are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles. Your proficiency in using hand tools, welding, soldering, and power tools will be essential in ensuring the optimal performance of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on HGVs to prevent mechanical and electrical issues
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems with HGVs
  • Fabricate and weld components as needed to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
  • Operate power tools and forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, welding, soldering, and power tools
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations
  • Ability to assemble, maintain, and repair HGVs effectively
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles is advantageous
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus
