Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen, supporting our major UK North Sea clients with brownfield Oil & Gas experience.

About the Role:
  • Provide structural engineering expertise to projects, defining requirements and developing deliverables.
  • Execute facility engineering design in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Support the Lead Structural Engineer and provide expertise to interdisciplinary considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of structural engineering input to projects.
  • Define structural engineering requirements for technical scopes.
  • Development of deliverables and documentation for offshore construction workpacks.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for structural fabrications/special items.
  • Engineering checking and approvals.
Requirements:
  • Brownfield Oil & Gas Structural Engineering experience is essential.
  • Proficient with specialist software packages (MathCad, STAADpro).
  • Knowledge of International Codes & Client Standards (e.g. AISC, Norsok, Equinor TR).
